Care built around you

Support that looks beyond the surface.

Skin concerns are personal. Your clinician considers your symptoms, how long they have been present, possible triggers, current products, medicines and health history before discussing what may be appropriate.

Time to be heard

You deserve more than a rushed appointment.

Skin can be affected by hormones, medicines, allergies, sun exposure, stress, skincare products and underlying health conditions. Your clinician takes time to understand the full picture before discussing realistic options.

  • Your full historySymptoms, triggers, allergies, medicines, current skincare, previous treatments and relevant health conditions.
  • Clear clinical reasoningWhat may help, the expected benefits and limitations, important risks and available alternatives.
  • A plan that can changeProgress reviewed and treatment adjusted when clinically appropriate.

Quick symptom check

Could an online skin consultation be useful?

Answer three short questions for an indication of the next sensible step. This is not a diagnosis and it cannot confirm that treatment is suitable.

If you have difficulty breathing, facial swelling, a rapidly spreading or blistering rash, severe pain, fever or feel acutely unwell, seek urgent medical care rather than using an online assessment.

Do you have a persistent or recurring concern such as acne, redness, pigmentation, dryness, irritation or changes affecting your confidence or comfort?

Have you tried over-the-counter products or skincare changes but found that the concern persists, returns or becomes worse?

Do you currently have difficulty breathing, facial swelling, a rapidly spreading or blistering rash, severe pain, fever or feel acutely unwell?

How it works

Clinician-led skin care in four clear steps.

Your clinician has the time and information needed to make a safe decision. An assessment does not guarantee treatment.

01

Tell us about you

Complete a secure assessment covering your skin concern, history, medicines, allergies and current skincare.

02

Meet your clinician

Speak privately by video and share clear photographs when requested to help your clinician understand the concern.

03

Understand your plan

Discuss suitable options, likely benefits, important risks and alternatives.

04

Stay supported

Review your skin's response, tolerance and side effects, and adjust the plan only when clinically appropriate.

Clinical assessment

Tests only when they inform safe treatment.

Many skin concerns can be assessed from your history, symptoms and clear photographs. A swab, blood test, physical examination or specialist referral may be requested when it could clarify the diagnosis or guide safer care.

Clinical standards

A recommendation you can understand.

Important to know

Safe care includes knowing when not to treat online.

Some skin changes, medical histories and symptoms need physical examination or investigation before treatment can be considered.

  • Not every skin concern can be treated online.Changing moles, suspicious lesions, severe infections and uncertain diagnoses may require a physical examination or specialist review.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding matter. Some topical and oral treatments are not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so plans should always be discussed.
  • Side effects need monitoring.Worsening irritation, swelling, blistering, severe pain or other unexpected reactions require prompt clinical advice.
  • Urgent symptoms need urgent care.Difficulty breathing, facial swelling or a rapidly spreading blistering rash should not wait for an online appointment.

Common questions

Before your consultation.

Clear answers to common questions before starting clinician-led skin care.

Does an assessment guarantee treatment?

No. Your clinician recommends treatment only when it is clinically appropriate. Further questions, tests, referral or face-to-face care may be needed.

Will I need photographs or tests?

Clear photographs are often helpful. Depending on your symptoms and the treatment being considered, the clinician may also recommend a swab, blood test, physical examination or specialist referral.

What skin concerns can I discuss?

You can discuss concerns such as acne, rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, pigmentation, dryness and signs of ageing. Some lesions or uncertain diagnoses will need an in-person examination.

Will my GP be informed?

Sharing relevant information with your GP can support safe, joined-up care. The consultation process should explain how information is handled and when communication is recommended.

What if online care is not suitable?

Your clinician should explain why and guide you towards the right next step, such as your GP, a specialist, urgent care or a physical examination.
